Summer’s POV

I was lying on the grass, gazing at the stars, when the man beside me spoke, saying, “If we ever catch a glimpse of the future, I want you to always be a part of it. You are my everything, Summer. Without you in it, I can’t fathom what life would be like.”

“What if either of us were to die or I die?” I asked, while counting the stars.

“Then, I’ll follow you. I’ll bind myself to your body and leap into the sea, ensuring our reunion in our next life. Isn’t that what love should be?”

‘Is that what love should really be?’ I asked myself. ‘Isn’t love about wanting the happiness of the person you love even without you on their new journey anymore?’
