Chapter 21. Invitations

Gregory was shocked at the sudden word of thanks from Edwina. Is this what the principal meant when she advised him before? It does indeed work things out. 

He felt the need to continue on this path. Rather than confirming Edwina's words of thanks, he closed his eyes and nodded to himself.

" Could you give me a minute?" Edwina asked with a small smile on her face which left Gregory aloof for a second, his heart in rapid trepidation.

" Of course" he managed to say and left. He didn't seem to realize in some other occasions, his words of encouragement could only serve to rub pepper on Edwina's wounds. To himself, he'd done a very good job and bringing Edwina out of her sorrow. Well, the fact couldn't be disputed.

" But then, I have just one more question" He suddenly seemed to remember something and asked from where he paused and stood, slightly turning his face over his shoulder.
