Chapter 23. Reconciliation

" Stay away from her!" Gregory banged a fist on the table hard and the hall grew silent. Everyone peered a glance at the table where the group sat with curious expressions on their faces. They wanted to know what had gotten Gregory so angered.

Silas who stood behind Edwina with a smile just watched without being fazed, seemingly waiting for Edwina's response.

" I'm the assistant club president, so you have nothing to worry about being in the club" Silas enunciated without giving a care as to the ugly stare Gregory gave him. He didn't back out from the glare contest either. 

They both knew they couldn't attack each other, and thus, Silas was calm and only wanted to tease the irritant wolf pup.

" W-well, Its a pleasure to receive the offer. B-but-, no thanks" Edwina kindly refused with an kind smile, which ended up looking awkward. A wolfblood in a vampire Haven? No way!

"Very well then" Silas sighed in defeat and pulled a chair to seat beside Edwina
