Chapter 71. Leaving the Academy

Early in the morning, Leonidas slept in the small bed with his burly figure almost taking all the space, leaving just a little spot for his wife to take beside him. He stared at the ceiling deep in thought as to what had happened just last night. 

Reels of how his life had been in mortal danger from the night before flashed in his eyes as he rummaged about his actions. He couldn't help but tear up remembering how he had been ready to leave his family all for his own selfish reasons. It was still a surprise to Leonidas, however, that Rethovarth didn't kill him. 

Now, Leonidas didn't know how to face his family and everyone else. How was he to face Edwina, his daughter, who had seen him being stabbed right before her by someone she considered a friend? That too, Leonidas did not put up a fight and was ready to leave her fatherless... The Ferghus clan leader felt a wave of guilt wash over him realizing
