Chapter 17. Safe

Lia growled as she stood on all fours in front of them. She was almost the same size as the three wolves, meaning they weren’t lycans. I’ve fought with many wolves before, but never three at a time. I looked ahead and saw the smirking, abnormal rogue still holding Helen, who was still dripping blood. I didn’t need to defeat them. I just needed to wound them enough to distract them so I could take her.

The wolf on my right suddenly jumped at me, but with the advantage of being a little smaller, Lia was able to evade him quickly. Lia wasn’t very strong because of our unhealthy lifestyle, but I could sense her strength despite everything. And she was quick. Even quicker than healthy werewolves.

I turned towards the wolf, and as soon as he landed, I bit his leg off, injuring him so he couldn’t attack me as much as the two could.
