“Let’s run some tests on her for the meantime while our main subject is resting.”
”Yes, Sir.”
The doctors nodded at the scarred rogue, but I shook my head as fierce tears rolled down my cheeks.
“N-No… Maddie…” I cried, wanting to reach out to her unconscious figure on the bed.
They continued pushing me towards the room, but I followed Maddie’s sight with my tear-filled eyes, still shaking my head, not wanting to go.
She can’t be under the same experiments. She can’t be a rogue like them!
I was finally taken inside the cage they put me in for the last several days. I kept my eyes on Maddie as they started inserting needles on her hands, arms and neck for the mixture to get to her system. Fear started overpowering my senses.
She might not have the same immunity I have. It’s the only thing that has been keeping me alive and unchanged for the past few days.
