Selena cast a glance at Jade. “What are you thinking?” She has begun to follow Azeezat’s advice regarding Jade. That morning, after breakfast, Selena went to Jade’s room to discuss the previous night. She wondered why Jade would plan all of this. She was certain it was not because Jade encouraged her relationship with Titus. 

Jade had stated. “I only assumed that bringing Titus over would irritate you. And to my surprise, it didn’t. What actually happened there? Have you rekindled your love?” 

Selena did not reply right away. She was musing on what Titus had said to her the night before. She reached out her hand to shake Jade’s. “Can we call it a truce now that you have exacted your revenge on me?” 

Jade was taken by surprise. “Just like that? You’re not going to get even with me?” Selena shook her head.
