Selena flipped the book open. “It says here we should drink.” 

“Alright.” Trisha shifted her gaze to Dalett. “Hold it for me. I will raise the rat; you will feed it. Okay?”

“No way. Allow Jade or Selena to do that. You know how much I hate rats.” 

“Dalett, get out of the way.” Jade spoke as she reached for the cup. She held it close to the rat’s mouth and carefully placed it into its mouth. “Is that sufficient?” She asked Trisha. 

“I don’t know. Maybe you should feed it more.” 

“It won’t even drink it because it’s dead.” Selena said. 

“It can taste water. Selena, the water is making its way to its mouth. That means something.” Trisha placed the rat back in the box. 

“It didn’t work?” Dalett stated.
