Chapter 77. Less Than a Week to Switch the Corundum

Dalett gave a nod. “I knew that cough was not real.” She returned Selena’s gaze. “We are the best of friends. You should not try to keep things from me because you believe I am easily hurt. Selena, I am more than capable of handling things.”

“I am really sorry, Dalett. I simply did not want you to run away from me again. I sincerely apologize.”

“I accept your apology.” She sighed and turned to face the corundum. “This does not give me a good feeling. What if we are caught?”

“Just try not to get caught.” Selena stated as she distributed the corundum. “We have five days to make the switch.”
