ARGON

"How is she?" Jerome asked.

I had stepped out of Estelle's room to answer my Beta's call. It was already late and he needed to know how things were going.

"She's getting better. All she needs is rest and more care, " I shared with Jerome, stealing one glance into the room.

Estelle was already sleeping while the maid sat next to the bed, watching over her.

"That's good."

"Yeah, we're happy that she's all better."

"Still, I'm surprised she tried to end her life. Did Alpha Deron tell you why? " He asked.

Sighing out, I drew away from the room so I could talk to my Beta without any interruption.

"Well, according to him, it's because of Brielle's presence. You know how Estelle gets whenever she sees Brielle, even when she doesn't bother us. Alpha Deron believes her presence in my home is what led Estelle to commit such an act."
