Aria

This place is so fucking dark, I swear. We can barely see shit, even with the torches Shiva and Mark are carrying. And don’t even get me started on the damn bushes. They’re thick as hell, clawing at our clothes and slowing us down like they’re trying to drag us back or something. It’s annoying as fuck. I don’t know how the hell Shiva expects us to trek through this like it’s a walk in the park.

After we’ve been walking for a while, Shiva turns her head toward me and starts asking questions. “So Aria… Alpha Ken tells me you’ve been having visions. That the visions are the reason your energy got drained today.”

“Yeah,” I say, already tired of talking about it. “But this time it felt different. It wasn’t just a vision. It was like I was actually there, like I was seeing and feeling everything my mom went through.”

Shiva looks kinda surprised, or maybe just confused. It’s hard to tell with her. “Your mother?” she asks, frowning slightly.

“Yeah,”
