Chapter 32
"Where are you going in that outfit?" a man's voice questioned.
Sabrina stared at the man, who was casually lounging on the sofa, and raised her eyebrows. "You're not supposed to be home," she reminded him of their earlier conversation during breakfast. “You said you will go to the general store.”
“I changed my mind, Sabrina. So, where are you going in that outfit?”
“Why? What's wrong with my outfit, anyway?" she retorted.
"It's too revealing," he commented, scowling.
"What's revealing about my outfit? Besides, who cares? I'll just be in the garden, and nobody's home," she reasoned.
"I am home," he stated, causing Sabrina to arch her eyebrows.
"You can pretend that you're not here," she jested, walking out of the main house with a pair of scissors.
