James’s POV

It was an emotional moment for me, having my parents with me at the hospital after I regained consciousness.

I finally let go of the resentment I felt toward my father since I was a little kid. It felt like the weight of the world was being lifted off my shoulders, and I couldn’t be more thankful to Evelyn for making that happen. Looking back on how my relationship with Evelyn started, I realized how blind I was to see what an amazing person she is.
