Troubled Heart

Rohit’s pov

Rai’s question concerning his suspicion took Rohit by surprise, he had no idea Rai suspected them all this while and he was scared of what Rai would do if he knew. He was planning on telling him eventually but he was scared of him losing his best friend especially when he is about to lose his mother. He didn’t want to risk that.

He looked for words to try and explain but he started screaming at both Rai and Rekha while raining curses on them, after he quieted down. He tried to explain but Rai’s gaze on him made him scared of saying the wrong thing, He knew how mad Rai could get when he is mad so he looked to Rekha for help as the latter took over. He watched and listened to Rai get scolded by Rekha who by now looked very upset and was berating her fiancé.

When she was done and as about to leave, she gave him a glance and mouthed the words

“I am sorry” but he looked away after meeting her gaze for a couple of seconds.
