Chapter 144. British People Don’t Care

Wren POV

The move to England was nostalgic. 

Ray hasn’t stopped calling, Beth and Noah, too. It’s been almost a week since we got here, and Mitch has called just once.

Settling in hasn’t been hard; in fact, we settled in pretty early with Hannah and Andrea.

“Wren, honey, you said you’re heading out, yes?” Andrea asks as Hannah disposes of the take-out trash.

We’re yet to go grocery shopping, so we’ve been unable to cook. Andrea doesn’t like that we’ve been ordering takeout, but we don’t have a choice.

I nod. “Yes, yes. My friend’s coming in from Windsor.”

Judi has been in England for a while, working with her boss. But she’ll be heading back to Seattle tomorrow. When I informed her I was here, she screamed in my ear
