“I think that’s a good idea,” Ray mumbles through the phone. “The kids will cheer you up, and at least you’ll have someone to talk to.”

Ezra scowls at that, and I bite my lip to suppress my giggle.

“Yea,” I say to Ray. “Just wanted to let you know though.”

Since we’re leaving for Beth’s, I had to let Ray know of our plans.

Thankfully, my overbearing, and overprotective brother approved.
