Chapter 9. My Last Nerve

I’ve been cooped up in my room for two days straight.
Thankfully, Lizzy and Mrs Dee have been nothing short of amazing. They bring me food, water and help me out when I need anything.
I’m still pissed.
At my brother, at Tristan’s death…and of course, at Ezra, the bane of my existence.
I have also been grieving, consoling myself with memories, and pictures.
But worse, I’ve been forcing myself to go through the brief text thread between Tristan and I when we first started talking.
He didn’t know about my dyslexia until much later, so the conversations were filled with multiple errors on my end, until I called him and explained.
He found it amusing, and that was what solidified my attraction to him.
And now…he’s gone.
I heave out a sigh, eyeballs dry and stuffy from crying too much.
My stomach rumbles and just then, there’s a knock on my door.
“Chirp!” Ray’s voice follows the knock.
