Lucy’s POV

I had no idea how long I was sleeping, but I woke up with a starving stomach.

I needed food but I had no idea where the kitchen was.

I was terrified to go out for fear of getting lost in the mansion, and there could be enemies lurking in the shadow.

I was both hungry and sleepy when I heard soft footsteps outside the door. I immediately shivered in fear while overthinking that it was someone else.

For a moment, my heart almost skipped a beat when the door slowly opened, but then, my eyes immediately lightened up upon recognizing him.

I got out of bed to welcome him, after all, he was my husband. However, I immediately wrinkled my nose as soon as I got closer to him.

He was inebriated and he smelled of alcohol and cigarettes!

“I’m so tired,” he muttered while taking off his clothes one by one.
