Chapter 15

Anya finished her cotton candy and felt much better. She idled and enjoyed the scenery in the park for a while. When suddenly, her phone rang.

She saw Marie’s name and immediately picked it up.

“Hey darling, how did it go?” Marie greeted.

Anya sighed before she answered.

“He refused.”

“What?!” Marie exclaimed.

“Why would he?! What’s his problem now?” she aggressively added.

“He said I didn’t satisfy his business partner, so he wouldn’t let me off that easily,” Anya answered with a scoff.

“Wow, he really is an asshole!” Marie ranted and cursed Andrei for a while. Finally, she invited Anya to a bar and drink. They needed to let out this big ball of stress.

Anya tried to refuse, but because of her friend’s strong ability to persuade, she finally agreed to drink. Anyway, she was not alone.
