Is that- Veronica and I both look at each other in confusion. Though it doesn't last long. Merely a second later shots are fired and the guards who were aiming their gun at us, drop to the ground.

"Missed me?" She glances over at our father.

"You should've gone with the other line," I say to her with a smirk.

"Yeah? I was questioning it. Anyway, hi daddy," Veronica greets, her voice filled with sarcasm.

Chantel? Lexcis? They're here. They're alive. And-

I caught Veronica before she dropped to the ground, she fainted. I think I'm going to faint too. What the actual fuck, is going on?

She's talking to father but I can't hear a word. I'm in shock. Paralyzed by it.

"Come on, Z. Let's go to the car," Chantel says to me as Lexcis appears beside me, grabbing the still unconscious V. He scoops her up in his arms and quickly steps towards the car.<
