Chapter 50. Cannot Find Him

I can see her eyes getting bigger, and her hands are moving around behind her back. I move closer to them and walk up to hear what he has to say.

The man bows and says, "Your Majesty," with a respectful nod.

When Chantel moves back a little, her back almost hits my chest, but she does not turn around to face me.

"Is everything alright?" I inquire, noticing the worry on the man's face.

"I asked her majesty if she had seen my son. I cannot find him anywhere."

"Your son?"

I think I know who it might be, but I hope I am wrong. When I try to grab Chantel's hand, she pulls away at first. I stand behind her, and when she gets too stressed, she just grabs my hand. I want to reassure her that everything will be fine by giving her a light hug.
