I dread it but I wake Chantel up. She squints her eyes again and groans, turning to her side to hide in my chest. "Hi, darling," I whisper. It breaks my heart to see her this way, I gently massage her scalp but decide to stop when I see her nodding off again. "You need to eat something, Chantel."
