The next room is again one of the lovebirds. Caen and Khalid, I don't bother entering. I open the door with my eyes closed as I tell them it's time for breakfast. I leave immediately. Couples are the worst.

Lexcis and I are never like this.

Never this annoyingly cute.

Tariq's room is next but I don't enter his. Nor do I enter the room of Daron and Ravi or Darius'. I'm good with them but entering their room is too personal. So I ask the guards to enter theirs and that does the job just as well.

Veronica, my dearest sister, gets the warmest wake-up of all. I enter her bed and tickle her awake. Giving her cute and fast kisses all over her adorable cheeks. She groans at first but doesn't fight me. I braid her hair while she tries to come to her senses, "What's for breakfast?"

"You. I'm going to eat your sweet little cheeks."

"Chantel..."
