I roll my eyes at Lexcis while he's busy trying to pull our daughter's hand away from my hair without hurting me or her. "I mean at least, we know that her reflexes and her strength aren't lacking." I tell him right before he finally manages to pull her hand away. He places his hand on her back, keeping his finger on the hand.

"Are you okay?" He laughs at me and I nod.

Lexcis leads us toward the office. He has a large swinging chair there and he thinks that that will lull her into sleep. I lay my head on his chest once we're laying there. He's talking to Fayera and I watch the both of them. She's very expressive. Her eyes hold so much emotion.

"Chantel, did you just flinch?" Lexcis asks all of a sudden.

"You did." He nods, "What's wrong?"
