"My sweet baby." Chantel grins down at Fayera. She kisses her hair and whispers sweet things to her until she falls back asleep. That's when she finally notices that I've been staring at her for the past ten minutes.

"What?"

"What?" I repeat to tease her and she chuckles. I catch her lips in a kiss and that makes her laugh even more. I hold her close, whispering, "I love you." into her ear.

"I know you do."

"Fuck off, Chantel." I laugh and she does too, leaning more into me.

She rests her head on my chest, shutting her eyes until we reach the town square.
