Chapter 146. Hunter vs. Lucius: Final Blow
Hunter’s POV
I followed the purple light, and it took me to a different area—one full of fire and heat. I couldn’t see anything past the flames, but I could hear screams, so I covered my ears.
I recalled my father’s words about getting angry; that was one of my fears, honestly. But I believe I should let it wash over me once in a while instead of bottling it up inside of me.
“Be strong, Henry,” he said, using my real name. Henry… I’ve not heard anyone call me that in over fifteen years, and it felt good. But still, I don’t think I’m just Henry anymore; he’s still that little boy on that mountain.
I became Hunter to protect the people I care about and get revenge on the Krent pack, and that’s who I’ll be for the rest of my life. A werewolf hunter!
Lucius was walking away from my body until he heard a heartbeat with his wolf ears and turned.
“Gasp!” I raised my head up, air filled my lungs once again, my heart and brain functioning well too.<
