Chapter 148. Master’s Last Words
Hunter’s POV
The horrible night had finally ended, and morning came to wash away the sadness. All the humans in the bunker emerged to take some fresh air and check around the rubble for whatever they could salvage from the destroyed city.
The only building that was intact without any damage was the cathedral, and that’s where most people were taking refuge.
The Sun Council members were now all awake, their injuries were tied up by white bandages that would heal their wounds faster than normal.
The Grand Priest also decided to speak to the people and reassure them the best way he could, by prayer.
A somber feeling of peace was in the air, but it didn’t last because when my master woke up from his slumber, I knew it wasn’t going to be a totally happy ending. Our cottage house near the river was untouched thankfully, and that’s where Holly, her parents, and I stayed for now.
