Chapter 170. Trials of the Birch Forest

Charlotte’s POV

Eastward was our destination, and so we kept heading in that direction, hoping we’d find some clues about the Ruby Claw village. However, as we kept moving around the new birch forest east of the Blood Moon village, all we found were strange stones—four in total. I didn’t really know what they were for, but then Dakota came up with an idea.

“You guys, these four stones… They’re pointing in the four general directions. Let’s split up into a two-wolf party and search those areas. Most likely, one of us will find the area. If your team happens to find it, then signal the others with your own magic,” Dakota said.

It was a good plan in my opinion. Instead of us just walking around with no idea where we were going, this way, one of us could locate the area. Since we were going in pairs, we could support each other. However, considering that we were eight, that meant two to each direction. Now, who was I going to be paired with?
