Fated to Love Again

"Get your boyfriend's fucking brother out of the house!" Kota shouted immediately he stormed into Kyo's room, slamming the door to further express his anger. His long dark locks looked like a bird's nest atop his head, eyes were red, skin clammy and pale. All signs of a really bad night with little sleep and lots of alcohol and maybe drugs. He was wearing a green robe with nothing but his briefs underneath and a pair of white fuzzy rabbit slippers on his feet.

Kyo was lying leisurely in bed, surrounded by fluffy pillows of different flashy colours and covered shoulder high with thick pink blankets, completely ignoring his little brother's existence as he continued to watch the movie playing on the enormous flat screen TV. His beautiful dark eyes were filled with tears as he watched Iron Man die, sacrificing himself to save all of humanity.

What a hero.

"Are you fucking listening to me!" Kota yelled but Kyo paid him no heed. Enraged, he walked towards the Tv and unplugged it.

"Ya! What the hell Kota!" Kyo shouted as he threw a few pillows at his brother, who dodged them all. Seeing that, he scrambled off the bed to Kota and tried to snatch the plug but Kota refused to give it back.

He cursed. "What do you want you brat! Can't you ever let me watch a movie in peace? It was a crucial heartbreaking moment and you ruined it!"

"I've been screaming my lungs out and you didn't hear a word! My problem is crucial and heartbreaking too!" Kota shouted as the continued to wrestle for the plug.

"What stupid problem could be greater than watching End Game? I was almost at the end goddamnit!"

"I'll let you continue if you just listen to me!"

Kyo grunted. "Then let go!"

"You let go!"

"It's my room!"

"I don't care!"

This went on for a few more seconds and Kyo couldn't take it anymore. Seeing as Kota wasn't going to budge, he let go first, making Kota land hard on his ass.

"Fuck!" He exclaimed as he flung the cord on the floor and stood up, rubbing his butt. His head was killing him. He had a rough night and didn't sleep quite well and now this.

"What do you want?" Kyo asked, not looking sorry at all.

Kota initially wanted to cuss him out but he remembered he had more important matters. "What's he doing here?" he asked, voice frosty, dripping with emotions Kota is usually filled up with. Anger and hatred.

"I thought we agreed that no one besides you, me and your boyfriend will stay here. But your fucking boyfriend is downstairs with his fucking brother and guess what they brought along! His luggage. His fucking luggage! And do you know the worst thing? He said and I quote; 'Morning Kota-kun! I'm gonna be staying with you for a month'. What the fuck does he mean by that?!"

Kyo became nervous. A guilt laced smile appeared on his face. He started to scratch the back of his head. "T-That could mean anything you know"

"Kyo!"

"Okay okay! I'll explain!"

Kyo closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Why was Kota so hard to deal with? Ugh. He hates this side of him. He opened his eyes and proceeded to explain; "Well, the thing is, Ren got a contract for a project in London and it will take a month. He asked me to accompany him and I agreed. The only problem was Rai."

At that point, Kota's face went dark. It was obvious what they decided next.

"He can't live alone Kota. We decided that he'll stay with you"

"So he's a fucking child now?" Kota spat. "The guy's 20 years old. He's a fucking adult so he can live by himself. I'm not a fucking babysitter. I'm sending him back home"

He turned to leave but Kyo quickly blocked his path. Kota fixed him a horrid glare. "Move"

Kyo folded his arms. "You know nothing about the kid Kota. You've shut yourself away from everyone and everything. Rai is a good person. You just have to get to know him. And it's not like he's going to stop you from doing anything. Like you said, he's an adult. He can take care of himself. He won't meddle with your affairs"

"Then let him stay at his own house!"

"Stop being so unreasonable Kota" Kyo scolded. "He's only going to stay for a month. He won't disturb you. Besides, a little bit of human contact which doesn't come from me will be good for you. Just get to know him and understand him first"

"I don't care. I don't want to get to know anyone. I'm told you for almost a hundred times now that I'm not ready. I've been taught a good lesson by you know who so no. He can't stay here especially when you're leaving" Kota said. "Why can't he stay with the others?"

"Sora and Minari are going on their tour in three days and we don't know anyone else"

"So you're just gonna dump him on me"

"Of course"

"I won't accept this"

"He's not gonna bother you. He has his own life. His own friends and I'm sure as college kids do, he'll be partying half the time and you won't even see him around. Why do you hate him so much?"

Kota sighed then spoke in a low tone. "I don't hate him, Kyo. He... He just makes me feels things I don't want to feel"

Kyo's gaze softened and he moved to hug Kota but Kota took a few steps back. "Don't touch me"

Kyo sighed in half frustration and half disappointment. "It's been three years now Kota. You have to let go of the past. Besides, you've known Rai for a while now. If he makes you feel things, why not try and see where it leads? He's an amazing person and I can guarantee that he'll treat you right. You'll be yourself again"

Kota scoffed. "I'm fucking done with that. I don't need anyone making me empty promises. I can't trust anyone with my heart. Not again. Besides, this is who I am now. Take it or leave it"

Kyo hummed then nodded. "I choose to leave it. With Rai. For a month"

"He's not staying here hyung" Kota replied, shaking his head. "Move out of the away"

Kyo fixed him a glare cold enough to freeze hell. Kota could feel heartbeat pick up and goosebumps suddenly litter his skin.

"No. I won't move and Rai is going nowhere. He'll stay here with you and that's final"

Kyo's voice was sharp and the tone ended with that of finality. Leaving no room for objection.

"I will call him every day. If I hear that he's uncomfortable or you hurt him, I'm gonna tell mum and you'll be sent back to Japan faster than you can say Iron Man"

Kota's face went pale at the sudden mention of the words 'mum' and 'Japan'.

Satisfied, Kyo turned and went downstairs with wide smile on his face, ready to greet his boyfriend.
