Chapter 80

Claire’s POV

Cole and Caleb went back inside the house and comforted me while I was crying. It was hard for me to say all of that to Luke. I love Luke, there’s no doubt about my feelings for him but I have to ask for space in order for me to heal and forget about what he did.

He cannot give me a reason that it was just one mistake because that one mistake can happen twice or thrice or even more and he needs to learn his lesson as soon as possible in order to prevent further heartaches.

“You’re going to be okay,” Caleb hugged me.

“This is the first time that the three of us are together, not fighting,” I chuckled. Somehow I feel relieved having my brothers with me.

I am so happy that Caleb is finally okay with Cole, that there’s no bad blood anymore.

“You need to relax. Why don’t you go into a vacation?” Cole asked me.

“Would you go with me?” I asked them.

“You can’t. I’m still taking care of Marjorie,” he smiled.
