Lucas's POV

6 Days Before the Execution.

The moment I stepped into the hallway outside Sienna’s room, I knew I had just walked in at the wrong time.

I heard voices and I could recognize those voices to belong to Sienna and Kieran.

I hesitated, one foot still mid-step. My instincts screamed at me to turn back and return later, but it was too late. Sienna’s eyes landed on me from the door. Kieran's back was facing me.

Why are they even at the door?

She didn’t look surprised. If anything, there was a glint of something unreadable in her eyes immediately she saw me. Her expression smoothed over in seconds.

"Lucas," she said, her voice suddenly light and cherry. She stepped toward me and, before I could even greet her, she re
