Elder Maeron stood at the head of the long council table, her fingers pressed against the worn wood as her eyes swept across the gathered faces, Kieran, Lucas, Damian, Harper, the elders, and a few trusted warriors. Eva and Rain have been thrown into the cell before Alpha Kieran passes his judgment.

Elder Maeron had called this emergency meeting as soon as the guards had confirmed Eva’s and Rain’s confession. But now that everyone was here, Maeron felt the weight of what she was about to reveal settle deep in her bones. The truth she had kept hidden for decades.
