I arrived without much hurrying because that is the first thing I want them to notice.
Not the army stretching behind me like a living storm, The certainty in every step I take toward their borders, boots sinking lightly into soil that already knows it will belong to me.
Demons do not fidget. Kings do not rush. And I am both.
The wind shifts as I stop at the invisible line that separates their territory from everything else. I lift my gaze slowly, taking in the walls, the warriors assembling, the tension coiling in the air like a drawn bowstring.
