Chapter 43. Alexander's Confession
“No, I want to carry you,” he said stubbornly, glancing at her and winking. She rolled her eyes at him, but her heart was beating faster and faster with every step that he took, wondering where he was carrying her to. With his admission came the realization that she had unnecessarily misunderstood him when he had always loved her. If she hadn’t been so stupid, they would have been married by now.
“Alex, where do I keep Serenity’s stuff?” asked Grant, coming up behind them with Serenity’s luggage. She tried to get free, wriggling to get down, but Alexander held her tightly, not releasing her at all, making her cheeks colour profusely.
