Chapter 4. Reacting to Her Nearness
"On the cabinet near the door," she said, smacking her forehead. "Was he furious? Maybe he'll throw me out after this."
"I don't think so," said Mrs. Drewett. She knew her boss loved perfection and since he didn't seem upset by anything that Arianna did, maybe he wouldn't want to throw her out. "I'll make him a fresh cup." She got up and went to the pantry. After five minutes, she took the coffee to Laurence. Laurence was very upset that Arianna hadn't come to deliver his coffee. He wanted to see her, and that was the only reason he had asked for another coffee. But it was Mrs. Drewett who arrived with his coffee!
"Please send Ms. Willis inside to sign the agreement, " he said in a discontented tone.
