Jeff's POV

I open the door to find out that it's Yvonne. I remained as I was holding the door, my body still and my eyes fixed on her. I'm more than terrified to see her at this moment, I want nothing to stop me in this mission I would be undertaking. Then when I come back to my senses, I follow her gaze as it scans through the entire room like she was looking for someone. Then her eyes kind of settle on something which makes her gasp. I take my turn to look in that direction, only to discover that I didn't take off the main thing, the poison.

I cover my mouth in a terrific gasp. I didn't want anyone to know of this beforehand, I wanted it to come as a surprise. They would call and not get a response, or some other need would make them come check out, then they would find out. It's my own way of making them see the worth I carried which no one seemed to be interested in.
