I held my breath hoping that she would buy it. I could see her thinking it over then she squealed, startling me slightly.

“Oh my God!” She yelled. My eyes grew wide when I thought that she'd figured out that I was lying. “You are such an awesome Fionn, please tell me you kicked their butts. That would have been so funny to watch. Oh my God, you have to show us all what you did last night!” She squealed excitedly as we walked down the stairs.

I sighed with relief knowing that she'd bought my lies, but then my heart sank at the thought of having a public training session with the guys.

Crap! I cursed at myself. I'm going to have to fight them in front of all the other hunters now. I know Carmen won't be able to keep her mouth shut about this. What the hell have I done? I thought. Mina was no damn help. I could hear her howling and laughing in my head.
