I sat on the bed in Freya's room, waiting for her to come in and get ready for our date. I didn't know what was taking her so long, but while I waited, my mind began to wander again. I went back to seeing Freya standing in front of me at the office door a few weeks back.

“Freya? What are you doing here?” I asked in confusion.

I was beyond glad to see her. The pain and heartache that I'd felt the past couple of years, faded away the instant my eyes met hers.
