Chapter 86. Epilogue: Eva pt. 2

Our wedding was simple, because I wanted it that way, even though Elton could afford a big party. 

Mrs. Danie, Elton’s mother, and his brother, Elmer, took care of everything with great enthusiasm. They said that if it weren’t for me, they were afraid Elton would never want to get married. 

I didn’t invite many people to the wedding. There were only Peter and two of my best friends--Nella and Lucia, and Leora and Noah. Most of the guests were from Elton’s family. 

Elton and I went around receiving congratulations from the guests after the blessing. Everyone looked happy and very kind to me. 

Elton held my hand tightly and looked at me several times with his meaningful eyes. 

“Honey, why are you looking at me like that,” I whispered shyly, when we finally sat down to eat.
