That same afternoon, in the palace, the king and his son Rael were chatting pleasantries in their room, while savouring a wine that Rael had saved for a special occasion, since it was from a good old vintage. The king was happy to see his son happy and relaxed. He now believed that his son had accepted his decisions, because his heart seemed full of goodwill. He was even startled when his son's maid came to tell him that Rael was waiting for him in his room. He begged her to come, because he was sorry and wanted to be reconciled. Suddenly, he felt dizzy and thought he must have had too much to drink, when he had only had one mug of wine and that drink had never had any effect, since he was a werewolf.
