Chapter 171. Irish Stew

Giovanna was taken to a room where what was supposed to be a wall was all glass and the view overlooked the back garden. The landscape resembled a small oasis. She stood there thinking, listening to Luc who was shouting orders downstairs. She knew she couldn't leave with that son, and she couldn't leave without him. She saw something moving and when she squinted she saw the lion. He sat up and even though she couldn't see him, she knew he was staring at her. She concentrated on the pool. She didn't want to talk to him. He had tricked her, saying that Luc would forget her. He didn't talk about the pain he would have to carry.
