She wrote a burner phone contact number on the paper Vincent handed her with his pen. Then, he carefully held the pen so as not to overlap his prints with hers. Vincent wanted to provide a fingerprint to add to their evidence, just in case.
Denny walked with Weston into the gambling house, and they paused by the side of the door.
"Let's play the newcomer card," Denny whispered to Weston. "In the movies, they would walk to the bar to get some drinks first and look around, right?"
Weston smiled at Denny's idea. "Seems like you have been watching a lot of movies, Mister Vero," the bodyguard, who looked older but younger by age than Denny, snorted as he followed Denny's lead.
They looked comfortable with each other, convincing to see that Denny was there for the first time, while the guy seemed to know a lot of things to help Denny get toured and guided around.
