Denny was more than just sure; no one was going to react the way Yohan was reacting for Aleah, had all these misfortunes happened to him in their family. The worst thought is, maybe instead of lifting him up, they might even push him down to the ground or into the mud!
Maybe it's the fact that they were not siblings.
And he should find comfort in such facts because it would have been unbearable if they happened to be closely blood-related, yet no love had bound them.
That would have been too pathetic!
"I'd like to remind you that I choose to believe you not because I am weak or a fool," Yohan continued as they walked to cross the distance from the main door to the car he made a deal to use with Don Carlo and Angela earlier that day. "But because I consider you as a part of my family already. I heard her speak about you in the hospital," he intentionally stopped to leave his words hanging.
It took Denny a while to grasp the message in Yohan's words.
