Chapter 63. An Adventurous Wanderer
When she turned of legal age, Trixie sold all her property and packed only a few things to venture a new beginning in the city. She was ready for anything. She was all alone. She thought whatever may happen to her.
She would be the only one to bear the consequences of whatever mistakes or wrong decisions she would make. It made her bold. She can die trying, but she will never let failure bring her down. She has no family to worry for her, no one to feel ashamed of whatever disgrace she may create for herself.
At first, she applied to a bar as a waitress. And with her beauty, it wasn't difficult to get the job. She was smart enough to play along but not to fall for sweet nothings of guys fooling around to bed her. She rented her own place to stay, a small room, just enough for her, and she was fine with that.
She did not bother going to college anymore. She believes she can earn without a degree and survive daily needs with whatever knowledge she already possesses
