Chapter 162. Temporary Peace

The next week, everyone seemed to get along with each other. We all found ways to spend time with the people we loved, even though it was hard. I got Faye into Owen’s room, and I got Caius into mine. We were so busy that we didn’t pay much attention to what was going on around us.

I spent time with Finn at the hospital during my days. I still didn’t like him, but I was getting used to being around him. He was good with our people, and when I said I didn’t trust him, he never pushed back.

Even though I knew not to trust him, I was having a harder time hating him. Caius and Carmelita also spent a lot of time at the hospital, where they looked at every feed they could get their hands on.

Someone seemed to be hiding something because a lot of the surveillance had gaps in time. Caius brought in a pack member who used to be a rogue to try to make up for the lost time. So far, they haven’t found much that could help.
