Chapter 61

Kyle’s POV

It’s been a week since she came back to us. He has been away from me for a week. It’s as if his heart is far away from me. He treats others well, but not me. She’s a bit cold and distant.

I’ll admit that it’s a bit disappointing and heartbreaking but I understand him. Maybe she has a reason, but I don’t remember anything that I did wrong to her.

I was sitting on the single sofa while he was quietly reading a magazine on the long sofa. She really distanced herself from me. His hands were shaking a bit as if he was afraid of me. Something’s really odd?

I immediately held her hands. He looked at me in surprise. He also quickly withdrew his hand and adjusted his sitting position.

“Are you okay?” I asked with a tinge of concern.

He forced a smile. Nod together

“Tell me Serene? What really happened to you during the five months you were gone? You’ve changed. You seem distant and always on guard. Is there anything I should know?”
