Chapter 20

A Ring 

I can feel the cold breeze that touches my skin while silently looking at the stars and the beautiful moon that lights up the sky. I was sitting beside Krio.

“The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” he asked. I looked at him, and I could see the happiness in him, especially in his eyes. You know, eyes can convey so many messages.

“What?” I asked him.

“Tell me if you want to go home, okay?” Krio said, and he lay down on the grass with his hands on his head. I ignored him. We’re just silently looking up at the sky.

“Are you good?” he asked me again. I turned to him and looked at him.

“Yeah, I just remembered something,” I replied to him, and he smirked.

“It’s him, right?” he asked me.

“You remember him with you. And I know how much you wanted that…who’s beside you at this moment is supposed to be him and not me?&rdq
