Chapter 29. Island Stream
Savannah’s POV
“Logan, we’ve been driving for two hours now. How much longer will this take?” I say with a long sigh, stretching my arms, and twisting my neck.
Logan is sitting in the driver seat of this black Range Rover and I sit in the passenger seat. We’ve been making small talk and listening to music the entire ride, but I’m starting to get antsy. We’ve driven past the city limit a while ago and I still don’t know where we’re going. I tried to read his mind even, and I still got nothing.
“Patience, princess,” he says casually. “We’re just about there.”
“Where?” I press.
“There,” he points to a direction.
I follow his gaze and I see this island perched on a river. There’s a small bridge connecting the island to the rest of the mainland, but that’s probably the only way in or out.
