Chapter 35. Collision Course

Harlan’s POV

I watch her glistening naked body sprawled on my bed and I smile. She’s absolutely spent and her eyes are closing. Gently, I pick her up with ease and lay her head against the pillow. Pulling the duvet over our bodies, I slide next to her and wrap her in my arms. My nose delves into the crook of her neck and I inhale her intoxicating scent. She smells amazing and my heart swells in response.

It feels indescribably good to be here with her. Every inch of my fiber knows it. It feels absolutely right, like this is how it should’ve been since a long time ago. And my only regret is that I’ve waited this long, wasted so much time when the one for me is here all along.
