Hazel’s POV

My eyes widened as I watched his retreating back. I felt betrayed when my vision was blocked by black silk. To reduce the awkwardness between us, I stepped back to create some space between us.

“What’re you doing here?” I asked politely, looking at the water in front of me.

“To be honest… I’m not a big fan of balls.” He shrugged his shoulders. “And you?”
